The Town of Carrabassett Valley invites you to participate in the 7th Annual Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge on Saturday, July 15, 2017. This is a mountain bike endurance event offering 100K, 50K, and 25K courses over varied single and double track, offering a true backcountry race experience. This event is organized and operated with the help of many volunteers and all proceeds are used to fund the local trail system and mountain bike programs!

New this year, the 100k race will be part of the National Ultra Endurance Mountain Bike Race Series for 2017! Dirtwire will be back again this year, filming the race and interviewing competitors! Register early for the lowest registration prices. Make it a Weekend!

Plan to make it a weekend in Carrabassett Valley; ride the new single track trails at a relaxed pace on Sunday with your family or friends or for a change of pace, hike up the Burnt Mountain Trail or to the summit of Sugarloaf. You can hike or bike to one of the Maine Huts & Trails huts or visit Sugarloaf Resort for a chairlift ride, zip line ride, or to rent a kayak or paddle board to explore Flagstaff Lake.
