The Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge is completely run by volunteers. A big shout-out to these folks! All proceeds from the race are used to fund the local trail system and mountain bike programs. They will need an army of volunteers again this year to help before, during, and after the race. There are lots of opportunities to help out. They’ll need volunteers helping at the aid stations, directing racers out on the course, and helping at the finish line. In addition, they’ll need help before and after the race. All volunteers will receive a race T-shirt and volunteers who work the day of the race will also receive lunch and a post-race BBQ.
